Mars

Mars programs raw energy and immaturity: the gate where your strength needs time to refine. In the first half of life, Mars is the impulse that does not weigh consequences; from the Saturn return and the Uranus opposition onward, that same gate becomes the source of an adult, concrete power that knows exactly how hard to push. Mars is read together with Venus: Venus says what you value and Mars what you do when you feel it threatened.

The Personality Mars is the conscious impulse: the theme where you recognise yourself as impatient, combative or bold. It is what the people around you call "your temper". Misaligned, it becomes fighting battles that are not yours or pushing when you should have waited.

The Design Mars is the energy the body discharges on its own: the anger that rises before you know why, the sudden desire, the physical impulse to do something now. Knowing its gate helps you not to mistake that discharge for a decision: it is energy, not authority.

A Mars in Gate 21 controls and imposes when young, and later manages with natural authority; in Gate 38 it fights about everything until it learns to fight for what matters; in Gate 34 it has a force that flattens until it learns to respond rather than initiate. Read your Mars in the Library with your twenties in hand: a lot will make sense.

Let it mature. Mars is not repressed: it is given time, experience and a channel. Consult your authority before acting from that gate, especially if you are not yet thirty.
