Gene Key 27 From Selfishness to Selflessness
Gene Key 27 — Shadow: Selfishness / Gift: Altruism / Siddhi: Selflessness
Gene Key 27 is the frequency reading (Shadow → Gift → Siddhi) of Gate 27 in Human Design.
When you only think of yourself, you're in the Shadow. When you care for others with criteria, you're the Gift. When there's no 'you' to protect, you're the Siddhi.
We all know the selfish type — measures everything by their benefit, doesn't care who gets left behind. But there's also a subtle form: caring without measure, also disguised selfishness. Both are in this Gene Key's Shadow.
Fact sheet
What is the Siddhi?
Selflessness
The Siddhi of Selflessness is the state where there's no 'self' giving. Giving flows without anyone taking credit. No personal merit, no score to keep. State described in great humanity servants.
shadow
Selfishness
Selfishness is caring only for yourself. Can be obvious — stepping on others to climb, using relationships, accumulating resources. Or subtle — the 'caregiver' actually needing to be needed to feel valuable. Both are forms of ego asking to be the center.
gift
Altruism
The Gift of Altruism is caring with genuine intention without losing yourself. You help from fullness, not lack. You can give and also receive. Your care doesn't seek to create dependency; seeks the other to flourish.
how to raise frequency
To rise from Selfishness to Altruism: ask yourself before each action if it considers impact on others. Train honest care, not performative. To rise from Altruism to Selflessness: dissolution of ego taking credit for the act.
What does it look like in everyday examples?
- Before making a work decision, you also consider how it affects your team.
- You care for someone without needing them to thank you. Not martyr; clean.
- Someone helps others without leaving trace. Doesn't want to be remembered. Selflessness.
Connect the dots
The energy of caring for, feeding, and protecting others — the instinct to nurture, in broad sense.
