All your energy flows connected — ~41% of the population
A Human Design definition.
All your defined centers are connected in one single flow. You're internally coherent — your information flows without interruptions. You function well in solitude.
People tell you you're 'very yourself.' You have clear opinions, own rhythm, a way of doing things that doesn't change much depending on who you're with. That internal coherence isn't rigidity — it's your single definition operating.
Fact sheet
What exactly is it?
Single Definition occurs when all your defined centers are connected among each other forming a single circuit. There's continuous flow between them. You don't have internal 'disconnections' — your system processes information as a coherent unit. It's the most common definition and the most 'autonomous' in the sense that it doesn't require others to complete itself.
How does it work in practice?
When you make a decision, all your defined centers participate in the same flow. When you process an emotion, information circulates through your entire system without cuts. That gives you a fairly stable sense of 'I am me.' You can be alone much time without feeling incomplete because your energy renews itself.
How does it show up in shadow frequency?
And in high frequency?
How do you train it?
First: use your autonomy as gift but guard against stubbornness. Actively seek opinions contradicting yours. Second: cultivate relationships with people who also have autonomy — that way you mutually respect. Third: accept sometimes you need to be alone, it's not a relational problem — it's your design.
What does it imply in practice?
- Solitude: you tolerate it well and sometimes need it. You're not better accompanied; sometimes you're better alone.
- Partnerships: you need to choose people who respect your autonomy, not who want to fuse.
- Work: you function well in independent roles where your flow isn't interrupted by micromanagement.
- Health: your energy is fairly stable; when you get sick it's from your own excess, not environmental absorption.
