Channel 2-14 — Knowing Where with Resources to Get There
In Human Design, Channel 2-14 joins the G Center and Sacral Centers within the Individual circuit.
The circuit uniting inner compass with energy to work what passions you — knowing where and having fuel to arrive.

Some people seem to have everything assembled inside: they know where they're going, and while going they produce resources. Not luck — the specific combination of two pieces. Gate 2 that orients and Gate 14 that builds on the way. Together they form the Channel of Prospering Direction.

Which two gates form it?
Gate 2, the Inner Compass, is the internal compass knowing where to point life. Gate 14, Resources Growing, is the energy of working in what passions and producing resources from that work. One without the other: the 2 alone knows the course but doesn't produce resources to arrive; the 14 alone has fuel but doesn't know in what direction to spend it.
What emerges when they connect?
When united, a person emerges who goes where they have to go and, on the way, builds material support. Their life has different flow: not the one fighting the current to arrive at arbitrary destination, nor the one producing without direction. It's the one aligned between knowing and doing.
How does it show up in shadow frequency?
The shadow is imbalance between the two gates. The person can have clear direction but not channel it into productive work. Or vice versa: works much but without clear direction, producing money in things that don't excite, until the body charges. Also: laziness disguised as spirituality — 'direction will arrive on its own' without concrete work.
Examples
- You've known for years you want to live a certain way, but you didn't build resources in that direction. The compass is clear, the motor is off.
- You work tirelessly at your job, but lost the north some time ago. Direction isn't yours. The body is getting tired.
- You trust the 'universe to provide' without taking concrete steps. Your Channel 2-14 without action stayed waiting.
And in high frequency?
In High Frequency, this channel aligns compass and motor. The person consults their course (healthy Gate 2) and dedicates energy and work to moving in that direction (healthy Gate 14). Resources arrive because work is aligned with deep desire. There's no blind force or fantasy without action. There's coherence between knowing and doing.
Examples
- You decided to change career. You took time to feel the course (Gate 2). And from there you built a concrete work plan. Three years later, your new career prospers.
- In your venture, you do what your body asks and resources keep appearing. Alignment between direction and work shows in the numbers.
- You accepted your path is zigzagging but each zig and zag orient you more. You work hard but don't lose sight.
What if you have only one of the two gates?
If you only have Gate 2, you know where to point but lack the motor of sustained work. You tend to wait for the path without building it. If you only have 14, you have fuel to work but lack the compass. You can yield much in places that don't correspond. In either case, allying with whoever has the other gate can complete the circuit.
How does it play out in relationships?
When two people share this channel, they often generate projects where direction and work feed each other. Couples with this complete circuit tend to build materially prosperous and emotionally aligned lives. But they can also clash if particular direction of each isn't respected.
